Insurgent: why do you think the author wrote this piece?

I believe that Veronica Roth wrote this series because she wants to show that being different is a good thing. In the Divergent series, there are multiple factions that are based on certain  qualities, and at age 16, everyone is required to choose a faction they want to stay in for the rest of their lives. Abnegation is for selfless traits, Candor is for truth, Amity is for peace, Dauntless is for bravery, and Erudite is for knowledge and curiosity. Divergent people are people that can fit into more than one faction and the government considers them to be dangerous.

I think that Veronica Roth wants us to know that being different is good, if everyone believes in the same things and is exactly the same, there may not be new ideas or anyone to disagree with decisions the government may believe is good, but is actually very wrong. If everyone was the same, our society would get nowhere and ideas would all be the same. How do you think the world would be like if everyone had the same exact ideas and beliefs?

Insurgent #2

In Insurgent, Tobias and Tris have been found by the Erudite in the Amity compound and were forced to leave. They got onto a train to escape, and they found that it was filled with many factionless people. They were taken into a safehouse with any other factionless people and Abnegation members.    Tobias and Tris then went to Candor and are now attempting to find out what is happening in the war.

What impact does setting have on the plot in Insurgent?

In the book Insurgent, the characters Tobias and Tris are on a train. The train is leading to the Amity compound because a war has just started between the factions. This setting of the Amity compound and train shows how unsafe the society has become, and they have to resort to travelling to the faction of peace to be safe. They have lost many of their friends in the war, and Tris's family is divided. I believe that Tris and Tobias will fight in the war. I also think that the government will take over most of the factions to force them to kill all divergents. I also think that the government will control all factionless people and become their soldiers. Do you think the factions will rebel or fight with the government?

Fahrenheit 451 post

In the book Fahrenheit 451, the main characters are Guy Montag, Clarisse, Mildred, and Captain Beatty. The main conflict is that Guy is a fireman, and their job is to burn all the books that are in the society, Clarisse has knocked some sense into Guy, and he is now questioning whether to burn or save the books. Guy reacts to this by taking some books from work and choosing to read them. I believe that Mildred is not reliable, and will tell Beatty about the books. I also predict that Beatty will not give Guy any mercy, and will fire him or punish him. Can Mildred be trusted?
